By claiming a day or purchasing an upgrade on The Time Owner, you agree to these terms.

What ownership means

Claiming a day on The Time Owner is a formal declaration of association between your name and a calendar date within this registry. It does not convey any legal property rights over a calendar date or any associated historical events.

Permanent record

Ownership records are permanent. The owner name and claim date cannot be transferred, reassigned, or deleted once established. Bio, photo, and contact fields may be updated upon request.

Acceptable use

You may not claim a day using false identity, obscene content, or for the purpose of harassment. We reserve the right to remove entries that violate these terms without refund.

Prohibited content

Entry fields may not contain: hate speech, illegal content, private information of third parties, or commercial spam. Profile images must be images you own the rights to or that are in the public domain.

Purchases

Paid upgrades (printed certificate, featured placement) are non-refundable once fulfilled. Payment is processed by Stripe. We are not responsible for delivery delays due to postal services.

Service availability

We aim to maintain the registry indefinitely. If the service is discontinued, record holders will be given at least 90 days notice and an opportunity to export their ownership records.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated to record holders who have provided an email address.
